So expensive, so bulky & I would think, not near as simple to clean. Also, just another appliance to add to the countertop. I am not a fan of cluttered counters.
Help a girl out, here. Do you have one? Is it worth the money? Could you live without it? Please, do share. I have a decision to make. Thank you. Ü

ReplyDeleteI have one and it is super great however, I also have a regular hand mixer that I use too. I tend to use the big one only when I am baking a couple batches of stuff otherwise I use my hand mixer bc its quicker... oh, and I store my kitchenaid ina cabinet (another reason I don't use it as much.) I do love it though and am glad I have it!

ReplyDeleteSo WORTH it! I borrow my brothers all the time, if you bake a lot, it's definately worth the $...besides it'll prob. last you the next 10 years also!
ReplyDeleteI bought mine at William Sonoma 8 years ago (they were the only one's that carried the Glazier Blue color I wanted) and I don't know how I ever lived without it. It's super easy to clean. The bowl and the mixing tool go in the dishwasher and I just wipe down the base/top real fast. I keep it on my counter and use it to mix up everything from cookies, brownies, pancake/waffle batter, etc. I don't even a hand mixer anymore because this does everything I need it to do and it's so simple to use. My MIL had a kitchenaid that has lasted her 35 years and counting. My friend bought a Sunbeam at JcPenny's and it crapped out on her after two cake bakings. Maybe she got a defective model but sometimes you get what you pay for. I say where the kitchen is concerned, replace your stuff with the good stuff that will last. :) -kriss

ReplyDeleteI don't have a mixer I just use a handheld beater and a food processor and that works pretty well. Mostly because I just can't cope with too many appliances I did a post on this just a week or so ago!! Thanks
