Eh, it's a business move. The wedding cost $10 million- but most of it was comped. So Kim didn't pay $10m out of pocket. And she made millions and millions on it (photos to People, $1.5m. Rights to the wedding, 12m.) Not to mention the publicity and everything it did for her brand.
All in all, she got a good return on investment.
